Bamboo Cicada Spin (also listed as “Cicada Spin: ASMR Fidget”, package com.starriver.zhuzhiliao) is a simple ASMR fidget toy. We designed it to work without an account and to collect as little data as possible.
Information handled by the app
Your personal “WAH” count, best spin speed, selected language, and pending offline count are stored only on your device.
When motion control is enabled, accelerometer readings are processed in real time on your device. They are not stored or transmitted.
When the internet is available, the app sends only an anonymous numeric increment to our server to update a shared world “WAH” total. The request contains no account, advertising identifier, device identifier, name, email address, precise location, contacts, photos, or audio recordings.
Firebase Analytics collects anonymous app-usage data such as first open, sessions, engagement, app version, device/OS information, selected app language, play mode, sound setting, whether a spin started, session duration, “WAH” count, and best spin speed. It uses a randomly generated app-instance identifier to calculate active users and retention. Advertising-ID collection and ad-personalization signals are disabled.
How information is used and shared
The anonymous increment is used only to calculate and display the shared world total. Analytics data is used to understand player counts, daily activity, retention, feature use, and app quality. Google processes Firebase Analytics data as our service provider under its applicable privacy and security terms. Bamboo Cicada Spin has no advertising, social login, or in-app purchase. We do not sell personal data or share it with advertisers or data brokers.
Data retention
Data stored on your device remains there until you clear the app's storage or uninstall the app.
Firebase Analytics event-level data is retained for 2 months. User-level Analytics data is retained for 14 months, and that period resets when new activity is recorded. Standard aggregated Analytics reports may be retained longer because they do not identify an individual user.
The shared world “WAH” total is retained indefinitely as one aggregate number. Individual contributions cannot be separated or linked to a person or device.
How to delete your data
To delete local data immediately, open Android Settings → Apps → Bamboo Cicada Spin → Storage → Clear data, or uninstall the app. This also resets the app-instance identifier on that device.
To request deletion of identifiable Firebase Analytics data, email sailingerlab@gmail.com with the subject “Bamboo Cicada Spin Data Deletion”. State that the request concerns Bamboo Cicada Spin and describe the device/app instance concerned. We may reply with instructions for locating the app-instance identifier if it is needed to match the request.
We will acknowledge the request within 7 days and complete the deletion, or explain why anonymous or aggregate data cannot be matched to the requester, within 30 days. We will confirm the result by email.
The app has no user accounts, so there is no account to delete. The shared world total cannot be reduced for one user because the server receives only anonymous numeric increments and stores no identifier that could link an increment back to a requester.
Children
Bamboo Cicada Spin is intended for a general audience aged 13 and older and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Security and changes
Network requests use HTTPS. We may update this policy when the app changes; the effective date above will be updated accordingly.
